Founded in 2025 with a single mission: bringing rigorous engineering, empirical field science, and safety to rat control.
Chadwick Products & Services, LLC was founded in 2025 by James Mueller with strategic guidance from advisor Jeanne Bertonis. The company focuses exclusively on innovative, engineered hardware solutions for rat control that bridge the gap between urban sanitation and effective pest eradication.
Urban garbage containers represent the primary food source and breeding catalyst for municipal rat populations. Conventional bait boxes placed loosely on alley pavements are frequently knocked over, displaced, or ignored. Chadwick solves this with the Rat Remover™—a station engineered to integrate directly with urban waste receptacles using novel attachment mechanisms and optimized bait chambers.
Core Innovations At A Glance
Urban Waste Integration
Attaches securely to municipal and commercial refuse containers, targeting rodents directly at their feeding source.
Novel Bait Management
Internal chambers and trays prevent non-target access while ensuring reliable bait presentation and monitoring.
Agricultural Defense
Next-generation perimeter and hopper stations specifically designed to protect grain silos and agricultural storage.
The Rat Remover™: Built for Real-World Urban Conditions
The Rat Remover™ is Chadwick's premier hardware innovation, designed specifically for urban garbage containers across varied commercial and residential configurations.
Informed by extensive field testing in dense urban environments, the Rat Remover™ employs a novel attachment architecture that secures the station directly to waste containers, preventing displacement while maintaining effortless servicing access for pest management technicians.

Washington, DC Neighborhood Research
Real-world conditions demand real-world testing. Studying rodent behavioral challenges on the ground since 2024.
Observational Testing In High-Density Urban Environments
Founder Jim Mueller began intensive research into rodent-control challenges in his Washington, DC neighborhood in 2024. Observing the recurring failures of generic bait stations—which are frequently kicked, tipped, obstructed, or bypassed by rodents accustomed to trash containers—Jim formulated an empirical approach to station architecture.
He designed, deployed, and tested multiple prototype bait stations directly in response to the specific behavioral patterns observed on alley pavements. Photographic evidence collected during testing confirms rats actively entering and utilizing the Rat Remover™, validating the effectiveness of the design.
This rigorous field research continues to directly inform engineering improvements, entry dimensions, and bait retention systems.
